Square Rectangle steel pipes are widely used structural steel pipes, the technology of square rectangular pipes can be:
- from round to square or rectangular by horizontal forming rollers
- from round to square or rectangular by turks heads
- directly form square rectangular pipes.
“Directly to Square” forming Technology
Directly roll steel strip and form into Square& Rectangle, weld and then turks head to get finished pipes. One complete set of combined rollers can make all the square and rectangular pipes, is economical and practical. The roll forming process takes square or rectangular pipes as one package of profiles between each other automatically adjusted by one set of combined rollers.
From Round to Square pipes by Turks Heads
From steel strip by roll forming make round pipes and high frequency welding, then sizing the round pipes, while the task of changing round to square by turks heads.
The advantage of turks heads is one set of rollers can be adjusted to suit all sizes of square, rectangular pipes, saving the rollers cost.
The turks head structure is not so forced forming, its round to square forming is softer and thus the pipe shape is more beautiful.
